Tunde Godfrey / Composer
Composer
Choral composer and tenor. I write music a whole room can sing and teach others to do the same.
I write choral music. Over the years that has grown into scores of classical compositions, including "Awesome Are You Lord" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul", both my own compositions.
I work in tonic sol-fa and SATB, and I sing tenor in the GOFAMINT National Choir, where I teach music theory and singing technique to new members. I came to music through curiosity about how it works, which led me to study theory and composition, and then to teaching it.
I've also built a browser app that harmonises sol-fa melodies. My music comes from my faith, and I say so plainly.
"Jesus, Lover of My Soul" shares its title with a well-known older hymn. It is a different piece, with its own melody, lyrics and rhythm.
