Who is Tunde Godfrey?
A youth coach, a communicator, a composer, and someone who builds with AI. It reads like four careers. To me it's one job, done in four different rooms.
It started in a Sunday school class
I began teaching Sunday school in 2010 and I have never really stopped. I believe a young person who is taught well finds their feet, and one who is misled pays for it later. That belief has kept me with teenagers ever since.
In 2017 I became active in the Young Christian Development Initiative (YCDI), where I am National Communications Officer. I have taught hundreds of teenagers across more than five states and facilitated at more than 15 conferences.
Then came the news desk
I studied Mass Communications at the University of Benin and went into broadcast journalism, as a news reporter at Bauchi State Television. Reporting teaches you to find what matters in a heap of facts and say it plainly.
That habit carried into corporate communications, where I write speeches and plan campaigns for busy executives and organisations.
Music ran alongside all of it
I write choral music in tonic sol-fa and SATB, and I sing tenor in the GOFAMINT National Choir, where I teach music theory and singing technique to new members. I came to music through curiosity about how it works, which led me to study theory and composition, and then to teaching it.
My music comes from my faith, and I say so plainly.
And now I build
I like knowing how things work, and then putting that knowledge to use. With AI, that has meant building: a management system for YCDI that runs its chapters, members, KPIs and permissions, more than 50 reusable Claude skills, courses on using Claude for communication professionals, and prompt books for designers and founders.
I keep it practical.
The thread
Put the four side by side and the thread is one verb: arrange. A speech, a choral score, a conference session and a members database all start as scattered material. The work is putting it in an order that carries.
That is what I do, in four different places, and it is why the four roles share one site.
